SLATE, MARBLE, TUMBLED MARBLE, TRAVERTINE, AND LIMESTONE - beauty from the heart of the earth … to the heart of your home or business. Each type of stone has a unique look, forged from the forces of nature which formed the stone, deep below the earth's crust eons ago.

SLATE
Slate is a very durable and hard wearing product and is suitable for use on the floor or anywhere a long-wearing product is needed or desired. Dramatic, clefted layers and broad ranges of color within each piece characterize slate
Slate tile does need more maintenance compared to ceramic or porcelain tile, but its unique qualities and appearance are often preferred to man-made products.

MARBLE
The natural beauty of Marble results from the extreme range of veining and color variation evident from piece to piece. Each floor becomes a personal work of art.
Marble is softer and more porous than some stones and is frequently enhanced by polishing, a process that can be repeated as needed to maintain the high gloss.

TUMBLED MARBLE
Tumbled Marble assumes a matte finish and irregular edges as a result of processing. Slip resistance is higher and scratches are less obvious than with the polished version.

TRAVERTINE
Travertine is formed by minerals dissolving in ground water and then being deposited on the earth’s surface by rivers, natural springs, or geysers. The colour of travertine is the result of iron compounds or other organic impurities and comes in many different colours including ivory, beige, walnut, noce, and gold.
Travertine, a natural stone product, has been used in buildings for thousands of year. Today travertine is used for flooring, cladding on buildings, showers, wall coverings and counter tops. Travertine can have four major finishes, polished (shiny), honed (matte), brushed and tumbled (textured surfaces) with the most common finish being honed. A major consideration in choosing travertine is where it will be installed and what it will be exposed to. The minerals that make up travertine are highly reactive with acidic solutions (ie. orange juice, vinegar). Sealers will provide some protection to the stone no matter what the environment, but knowing what it will be exposed to will help you decide whether travertine is a good fit for your project.

LIMESTONE
Limestone is aesthetically interesting and extremely durable Fine-grained and normally appearing in a neutral range from light beige to rosy brown, limestone is commonly honed and naturally contains a myriad of tiny voids.
Limestone is versatile and is used on floors, entries, walls, walkways and countertops.
